For veterinarians
Lung ultrasonography is a game-changer in respiratory health management. Find out how to apply quick thoracic ultrasound (qTUS) in practice.
For farmers
With the qTUS approach, you can stand for responsible antimicrobial use and improved animal welfare, without the fear of production losses.
quick Thoracic Ultrasound
A standardized method for accurate diagnosis of pneumonia.
By combining quick thoracic ultrasound with appropriate diagnostic tests, qTUS brings two game-changers into practice. The qTUS approach allows for an integrated control and prevention of BRD.
qTUS training and certification CPD in the UK
After a fruitfull test course in 2024, we are gratefull to announce a new collaboration with the Royal Veterinary College, offering a 2 day practical course component in the UK for the first time!
The practical session will be held at Synergy Farm Health, Dorset DT2 0HS.
This is a 3-step program consisting of:
Pre-training: 4 hours of online lectures plus a half-day classroom session to get up to speed on the theory of qTUS.
Practical Training: A hands-on, on-farm session with experienced qTUS specialists, which will help solidify your understanding and practice the techniques.
Certification: On the second afternoon, you’ll have the chance to become certified in qTUS, comparing your skills to experienced users, and joining a broader professional community.

Controlling BRD, an age-old challenge…
Pneumonia in the early life of calves poses a critical health risk, often demanding intensive antimicrobial use. Ghent University's groundbreaking lung ultrasound research shows that 40% of calves have pneumonia that is undetectable through clinical signs. Calves with subclinical pneumonia cause economic losses, have reduced animal welfare and silently spread pathogens.
Promising sensor technology for precision livestock farming will be available in the future, qTUS is here today.
The qTUS solution
The qTUS company trains and certifies veterinarians to use quick thoracic ultrasound in practice. Using the qTUS approach, you can stand for responsible antimicrobial use, improved animal welfare and elevated production for your clients. We support you along the way.
